Vaccination against Covid-19 is free and recommended:

• For persons aged 6 months and over, unless contraindications.

IMPORTANT: It is essential to continue to respect the health measures in place.

How to get vaccinated

Clinics with appointment

1st and 2nd dose

People 6 months of age and older can make an appointment to get their 1st and 2nd dose of vaccine. An interval of 8 weeks or more must be respected between the 2nd dose.

For young people aged 6 months to 13 years old, consent must be obtained from a parent or legal guardian.

Booster doses

A booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine is now recommended for the following vulnerable people 5 years of age and older who have never had Covid-19. An interval of 6 months must be respected after the last dose of Covid-19 vaccine :

• People living in CHSLDs, RPAs, and other group settings with a high proportion of elderly and vulnerable individuals
• People who are 60 years and older
• Pregnant women
• Immunocompromised people
• People living in remote areas
• Health care workers

To maintain immunity, people immunocompromised or on dialysis can receive a booster dose every 6 months regardless of their history of Covid-19 infection.

For people living  long-term care centers (CHSLD), intermediate and family-type resources (RR-RTFs) and private residences for seniors (RPA), mobile teams will travel to these living environments. No action is required on the part of the individuals to make an appointment.

Walk-in clinics

1st, 2nd and booster doses 

People aged 6 months and older can come to the walk-in clinics to receive their dose of vaccine according to the recommended doses by age group and certain health conditions. The vaccines offered are Pfizer, Moderna, bivalent Pfizer and the bivalent Moderna.

• Petite-Nation CLSC :  June 2, 9, 16, 17  - 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Mansfield-et-Pontefract CLSC : Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• Shawville CLSC : Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• Quyon CLSC : June 9, 16 -  8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• Chapeau CLSC : June 14  - 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• La Pêche CLSC : June 3, 6, 17, 20, 27  - 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m
• Maniwaki CLSC : June 2, 9, 16, 17 - 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m
• Gracefield CLSC : June 26 - 10 to 12:30 p.m.

Troubleshooting service

For the troubleshooting service (registration of vaccines outside of Quebec, proof of vaccination), people can come without an appointment according to the following schedule:

• Vaccination Centre at 75 blvd de la Gappe : Monday, Friday and Saturday  9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• For the other vaccination sites, the troubleshooting service is offered according to the opening hours.

Novavax vaccine

The new Novavax vaccine using protein-based technology is now available for people aged 18 and over.

Vaccination passport

In Quebec, the vaccination passport is no longer required except for travel within and outside Canada, by train, plane or cruise ship.

Safety

Canada attaches great importance to vaccine safety, both before and after approval. COVID‑19 vaccines must meet the same quality and safety standards as any other vaccine used in Canada.
