Crisis intervention services
Crisis intervention services are intended for people in a psychosocial or psychiatric crisis, with or without a suicidal dimension.
These services include :
- Phone intervention available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (Info-Social)
- Crisis intervention in the community available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Hospital Emergency
Crisis intervention is first managed over the phone by the Info-Social service and is accessible day and night, 7 days a week, by dialing 811.
If an intervention in the community is deemed necessary by the Info-Social or the CLSC, it is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This service is provided at home or elsewhere as needed. In a suicidal crisis situation, the population can call the suicide prevention telephone intervention line: 1 866-APPELLE (1 866-277-3553).
If you need services or if you want to inquire about any of these services, contact the social reception or go in person to the CLSC in your area.
Crisis accommodation is offered by the Crisis Centre 24 hours a day, 7 days a week following a referral. In situations presenting dangerous conditions, the cooperation of police services is required.
