Beacon network
The Beacon Network is a project designed to promote mutual aid and goodwill between citizens of the Outaouais region.
In each of the 5 territories of the Outaouais region, the Beacon Network helps to highlight the resources available in each community. It also fosters a collective sense of goodwill, thereby helping to improve the population's well-being.
Essentially, Beacons are citizens committed to their community, who wish to :
- be the eyes and ears of their community,
- recognize signs of stress and offer coping strategies or redirect to a resource for help if needed,
- promote ways of taking care of ourselves as well as others
- Contribute to the development and promotion of activities that foster well-being,
- Bring awareness of the resources available on the territory.
The Beacon Network is a project initiated by the Ministère de la santé et des services sociaux.
