The program is for any disabled person, as defined by the Office des personnes handicapées du Québec (OPHQ), who, because of his disability, faces limitations in his daily activities at home, and whose disability requires modifications to the home layout.

How do I access the services?

To access the program, you must first register with the Société d’habitation du Québec (SHQ); they will assess your eligibility and send the names of those accepted into the program to the ID-PD-ASD programs office.

Professionals

Assessments are performed by an occupational therapist, who makes the required recommendations regarding the user’s significant and persistent disabilities and his impairments which require modifications to his home. Recommendations made to the SHQ are mainly related to access to the home and to the essential rooms in the house.
