Transportation – Residential care

The Transportation – Residential care program is a ministerial program for people who are recognized as being disabled. The program provides compensatory financial assistance for travel. Its purpose is to assume part of transportation costs incurred by individuals to access specialized services related to their disability, which come up to significant amounts as a result of the absence, remoteness or frequency of services, or sometimes due to housing needs.

How do I access the services?

In order to access this program, one must complete the following two forms:

  • Professional referral for assistance for Transportation–Residential care, to be completed by a CISSS Outaouais professional.
  • Application for assistance for Transportation–Residential care, to be completed by the user.

The completed forms are forwarded to the ID-PD-ASD program access point. A letter is sent to inform the user whether or not his application was accepted. Once the request is ready to be processed, the client will receive a letter, as well as the documents needed for reimbursement.
