Every Quebec resident who holds a driver’s license can renew his RAMQ card and driver’s license in a single step at a Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec outlet.

Residents who have not renewed their RAMQ cards within the prescribed time frames and those registering for their first cards should go to a CLSC or directly to the Régie de l’assurance-maladie. Please note that since October 1^st, 2014, the validity period for a health insurance card and a driver’s license has gone from 4 to 8 years
