Gastroenterology
The gastroenterology outpatient clinic specializes in the investigation and treatment of suspected or diagnosed pathologies of the digestive system (Crohn’s disease, ascites, hepatitis C, cancers, etc.) It provides consultation services and follows up testing, hospitalization and post-procedures (gastroscopy, colonoscopy) for people with gastroenterology conditions.
How do I access the services?
The department provides care to adult patients with gastroenterology conditions.
A request must be sent by the referring physician. A wait time is assigned depending on the severity of the problem. If necessary, the referring physician and the specialist will consult directly to analyse the situation.
A secretary from the outpatient clinic will contact you to schedule an appointment.
What to expect?
- An appointment made by telephone and registration with the clinic’s secretary
- A meeting with the gastroenterologist
- Referral to other specialists, if necessary
- Specialist’s decision on completion of follow-up
