Oncology

The oncology department provides care for adult patients in the Outaouais, but there is also a service agreement for patients from Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

This department includes the following sectors:

  • Hematological oncology
  • Radiation therapy
  • Medical physics
  • Brachytherapy
  • Dentistry
  • Quebec Breast Cancer Screening Program
  • Outaouais breast disease referral centre
  • Collection centre
  • Consultation service
  • Support/palliative care

Who will I be dealing with?

The clinical team providing these services is composed of:

  • Nurses
  • Nutritionist
  • Social worker
  • Pharmacist
  • Radiation oncologist, hematologist, internal medicine specialist, physicians
  • Radiation therapist
  • Medical physics
  • Technical assistant
  • Dental hygienist

What to expect?

You will receive treatment directly related to your type of cancer. This treatment is determined by the radiation oncologist, the hematologist or the physician.

Where and when
are services provided?

By appointment from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
at the following hospitals:

  • Gatineau Hospital
  • Pontiac Hospital
    for chemotherapy only
  • Maniwaki Hospital
    for chemotherapy only
